Location and boundaries
- MIMAROPA is composed of the island provinces of Occidental Mindoro,
Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. It extends from the
south of Metro Manila and Batangas area to the southwest.
- Getting to the provinces from Metro Manila is as follows:
- Occidental Mindoro is 40 minutes by plane to Mamburao or take a
5 hour boat ride from Batangas Port to Abra de Ilog, Occidental
Mindoro.
- Going to Oriental Mindoro, take a 3-hour ferry ride from
Batangas Port to Calapan. Another route is through Puerto Galera
which is 2 hours by ferry.
- Marinduque is 40-minutes by plane or take a 5-hour boat ride
from Lucena, Quezon.
- Romblon is 1 hour by plane and 14 hours by boat from Manila.
- Palawan is an hour away from Manila by plane.
